You say you dream of being a singer. Does that mean you want to pursue a lucrative career in pop music? Good luck with that one! And, as you say, look at the X Factor. Is that really the way you want to go? If, on the other hand, you want to sing because you love music and want to make music, then what's stopping you? Go join a band, or start one. There must be other musically-minded people at your school?
